不行!
no dice 起源于20世紀(jì)初，當(dāng)時(shí)賭博在美國的許多州是非法的，而骰子是賭博的重要工具，也是警察抓賭的關(guān)鍵證據(jù)。因此當(dāng)警察抓賭的時(shí)候，賭徒們總是要想盡辦法把骰子藏起來。法院甚至?xí)驗(yàn)榫煸诂F(xiàn)場(chǎng)沒有找到骰子而不受理案件，或因證據(jù)不足而判賭徒無罪。后來人們就用這個(gè)俚語來表示不同意、不可能等否定意思，即：“不行，不可以”。因此，當(dāng)美國人說"No Dice!"時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"I disapprove you!"、"It is impossible!"、"no way!"。
