　　I don't like to chat with people who dish the dirt about others.

　　我可不愿意和那些愛(ài)說(shuō)人閑話的人聊天。

　　dish the dirt about others直譯過(guò)來(lái)就是：“把關(guān)于別人不好的東西裝盤(pán)”，這個(gè)短語(yǔ)的正確意思是：“論人是非，說(shuō)人閑話”。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說(shuō)"I don't like to chat with people who dish the dirt aboutothers."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思是"I don't like to chat with the ones who spread gossip."、"I willnot chat with people who talk about others behind their backs."。
