Dear Headmaster，

I'm writing to ask for your permission so as to establish a new club on campus．“Service Club” is my ideal name of the club，which is intended to extend a helping hand to the freshmen when they have trouble adapting themselves to high school life．The activities I'll put in place cover a wide range of topics．Lessons will be given in junior high schools to inform the students interested in our school of various aspects of their upcoming school life．For the sake of freshmen's convenience，not only will gatherings for information exchanges be held as a monthly routine to provide them with tips on school work，dormitory life and activities after class，members of the club，mainly made up of Senior 2 and Senior 3 students，will also be available to answer the freshmen's questions at any time．Besides，considering the stress facing freshmen to keep a balance between work and activities，we're always there to serve as good listeners and help find solutions to slight psychological problems．

It is obvious that this club，as its name goes，offers the freshmen excellent service．Our assistance can help the newcomers who're at a loss to start their senior years with a more enjoyable beginning．For us Senior 2 and Senior 3 students，we can increase the meaning of our school life by passing our knowledge on the school to younger students，and，at the same time，strengthen our and their love for the school．The noble spirits of devotion without pay developed in such act of kindness will encourage us to do more good deeds in our future life．On the whole，this club can unite students of all the three grades and bring harmony to the campus．In the club，we'll always bear in mind that we're all students nourished by the same school with your wise management！
