Never to Delay
Since our childhood, we have been told never to delay, just as the saying goes, “Never put off what you can do today until tomorrow.” 1
Frankly speaking, in our daily life many people tend to refuse to do things immediately owing to their indolence. Whether the thing is easy or not, they would rather enjoy their free time instead of going at it. Therefore, there are many people who like to put off things they should do today until tomorrow. As they are always behind schedule, there will be more and more things for them to address with each passing day. Faced with great pressure to fix all of them at a time, they usually can’t accomplish their goals in the end. 2
I agree that we should never put off what we can do today until tomorrow. 3 We should work hard today for we don’t know what will happen and how much we may be hindered tomorrow. Maybe there will be more important things to do. So seize the present and don’t make excuses to put off until tomorrow what we are supposed to do today. 4
絕不拖延
我們從小就被告知絕不要拖延，正如諺語所說：“今日事今日畢。”
坦率地說，在日常生活中，因為懶惰，許多人往往不愿意即刻做事。不管容易還是困難，他們寧愿享受著悠閑而不是著手去做。因此，有很多人就喜歡把今天應該做的事推到明天去做。由于他們總是落后于預定計劃，日復一日，他們每天都會有越來越多的事需要處理。面臨著一次要處理所有事情的巨大壓力，他們通常無法最終完成目標。
絕不把今天能做的事推到明天，我同意這種說法。我們就應該今天努力去做，因為我們不知道明天會發(fā)生什么或者明天我們會遇到什么阻礙。也許明天會有更重要的事。所以，要抓住當下，不要找任何借口推脫今天該做的事。
