第二十講: 在元宵節(jié)燈會(huì)上

Lesson 20: At the Festival

各位聽(tīng)眾朋友好，歡迎您收聽(tīng)“旅游業(yè)英語(yǔ)”教學(xué)課程。我是澳大利亞澳洲廣播電臺(tái)中文部的節(jié)目主持人馬健媛。

在第十九課中，我們學(xué)習(xí)了如何約定見(jiàn)面的地點(diǎn)，如何向客人介紹文化景觀，以及有關(guān)“Excuse me”這個(gè)短語(yǔ)的一些特定用法。在這一課中，我們將學(xué)習(xí)如何回應(yīng)客人的贊揚(yáng)，如何講述歷史典故，以及在客人對(duì)一些事情反應(yīng)過(guò)度時(shí)我們應(yīng)該如何安慰他們。

Mona: Tell me about the moon, Leo.

Leo: Well, the legend goes that there’s an old man on the moon who has the names of all the newborn babies. He knows who will marry whom. Look around you. People are making wishes to him. It is said that he will grant your wish.

Mona: Really? That’s interesting.

Mona: Oh, Leo, I’m sorry I have been so rude to you.

Leo: Not at all.

Mona: No, I have been rude. You’ve been patient and wise and brave…

Leo: It’s nice of you to say so.
