文藝青年必看：全球十大最佳書(shū)店

        英國(guó)《衛(wèi)報(bào)》記者肖恩·多德森撰寫(xiě)了《頂級(jí)書(shū)架》一文，盤點(diǎn)了他心目中的全球10佳書(shū)店。你心中的十佳書(shū)店又是什么呢？

　　TOP 1：Boekhandel Selexyz Dominicanen in Maastricht

　　What does a city do with an 800-year-old church with no congregation? Well, it could make like the Dutch and convert it into a temple of books. The old Dominican church in Maastricht was being used for bicycle storage not long ago, but thanks to a radical refurbishment by Dutch architects Merkx·Girod it has been turned into what could possibly be the most beautiful bookshop of all time。

　　在一間擁有800年歷史的古教堂里讀書(shū)是什么感覺(jué)？不久前，荷蘭馬斯特里赫特市的多米尼加教堂還是一個(gè)供人們存放自行車的地方。荷蘭建筑師默克斯·吉羅德給這座廢棄的教堂帶來(lái)了驚人變化，他把教堂改造成了一家書(shū)店。

　　The Boekhandel Selexyz Dominicanen, which opened just before Christmas, retains the character and charm of the old church, while being fitted with a minimalist and modern interior design that overcomes any suggestion of fustiness. From the images you can find on the web you can see that it is a bookshop made in heaven. 

　　書(shū)店2007年圣誕節(jié)前剛剛開(kāi)張。吉羅德盡量保留原有建筑風(fēng)貌，只在內(nèi)部裝飾上作了些許變動(dòng)，添加了一些現(xiàn)代元素，令整座教堂煥然一新。在一排排書(shū)架間穿行，頭頂上方是高大、美麗的教堂穹頂，難怪有人把這里稱為“天堂書(shū)店”。

　　TOP 2：El Ateneo in Buenos Aires

　　All the world's a page at El Ateneo, a bookshop converted from an old theatre in downtown Buenos Aires. As you can see from this photomontage the El Ateneo has retained its former splendour, with high painted ceiling, original balconies and ornate carvings intact。

　　這是由布宜諾斯艾利斯鬧市一家老劇院改造成的豪華書(shū)店。書(shū)店共3層，營(yíng)業(yè)面積2000多平方米，號(hào)稱南美第一。

　　Even the crimson stage curtains remain part of the show. Comfy chairs are scattered throughout, the stage is utilised as a reading area and café, and even better, the former theatre boxes are used as tiny reading rooms。

　　劇院內(nèi)原有包廂、雕刻、戲臺(tái)上的深紅色幕布均保存完好，只是戲臺(tái)變成了供讀者休息的地方，你可以上去吃點(diǎn)心，也可閑坐讀書(shū)。包廂則變成了一個(gè)個(gè)“迷你”閱覽室。

　　TOP 3：Livraria Lello in Porto

　　Proving that purpose-built bookshops can be every bit as beautiful as converted buildings, the divine Livraria Lello in Porto has been selling books in the most salubrious of settings since 1881.

　　與前兩家不同，萊羅書(shū)店生來(lái)就是一家書(shū)店，開(kāi)張于1881年。

　　Featuring a staircase to heaven and beautifully intricate wooden panels and columns (see for yourself with these gorgeous 360-degree views)，stained glass ceilings and books - lots of lovely books。

　　書(shū)店中央有一個(gè)漂亮的木制樓梯，一直通到樓頂。讀者可以透過(guò)玻璃樓頂，360度仰望天空。樓梯四周書(shū)架上擺滿各種好書(shū)，令“書(shū)蟲(chóng)”們流連忘返。

　　TOP 4：Secret Headquarters comic bookstore in Los Angeles

　　A mere profiterole to the fabulous layer cakes of Porto and Buenos Aires, but the Secret Headquarters more than holds its own. Nestled in the creative cluster of Silver Lake, just east of Hollywood, this boutique store offers a sophisticated alternative to most of its rivals。

　　這家店名叫“秘密總部”，坐落在好萊塢以東一群創(chuàng)意小鋪中間。如果說(shuō)萊羅書(shū)店像一個(gè)富有層次感的蛋糕，“秘密總部”則像一塊可愛(ài)的甜餅。它有其他創(chuàng)意書(shū)店無(wú)可比擬之處：專賣卡通書(shū)。

　　This boutique store has a reputation for being one of the neatest, friendliest comic stores anywhere. Canadian science fiction author Cory Doctorow rates it as the finest in the world。

　　“秘密總部”還被熟客公認(rèn)為全球最整潔、最友善的一家卡通書(shū)店。在加拿大科幻作家科里·多克托羅眼中，這家小書(shū)店“舉世無(wú)雙”。
