住店期間，對于自己的一切需求都可以直接找工作人員幫忙。一般要求酒店提供服務時，應先提供房號，姓名等信息，然后與對方約定服務項目和服務時間。如問題確是需要耗時較多的工程問題，如下水管堵塞、衛(wèi)生間滲水等，可提議更換房間。

如果因為行程變化需要延房，可請服務人員查詢客房可售狀況表。電腦顯示不可延房時，可要求推薦其他類型的房間。電腦顯示可以延房，可要求對方安排行李員帶自己去新的房間。

在英美等國家的服務性行業(yè)中，一般都有付小費的習慣。這種習俗起源于18世紀的英國，據(jù)說當時的一些酒店和理發(fā)店通常在其桌上放著一個小盒子，上面寫著To insure prompt service（保證立刻服務）。顧客若放進少許零錢，便可得到迅速而周到的服務。后來人們將to insure prompt service的第一個字母抽出來放在一起，便拼湊了一個新詞，這就是我們大家熟悉的tips—“小費”。tip這個詞既可以用作名詞（可數(shù)），也可以用作動詞，先請看幾個實例：

I gave the doorman a tip.

我給了門房小費。

Shall I leave a tip for the waiter?

我要不要給服務員小費？

Taxi drivers expect a tip.

出租車司機都希望得到小費。

付小費是英美等西方國家服務性行業(yè)中很普遍的現(xiàn)象，也是正?，F(xiàn)象。服務人員所得的小費不僅是他們的正當合法的收入，而且也是他們的重要收入來源，比如出租汽車司機就差不多有三分之一的收入來源于小費。據(jù)說美國服務行業(yè)中每年的小費收入總額高達50億美元之巨，這也從一個側面告訴我們小費在英美國家服務行業(yè)中的普遍性和重要性。

當需要客房服務的時候你會說
