Last time we learned "You have got to come clean with me." which is used to ask somebody to tell the truth when lying.

1 你得和他說實話。

You are gonna come clean with her.

2 你要做的就是說實話，提供協(xié)助。

What you need is to come clean and cooperation.

3 我知道是誰做的，你得和我說實話。

I know who did this. So, you might as well come clean with me.

下面的幾道附加翻譯題都是關(guān)于浪漫的“約會”的，我們就來看看“浪漫約會”中您可以說些什么話兒。

【點評】這一句get together 和 on a date 同意，在一句話中同樣的意思使用不同的短語來表達(dá)，讓讀者看起來不厭煩。

3 他約她出去過一回，可是他們好像不大合得來。

He took her out on a date but they didn't really hit it off.【點評】take somebody out on a date這個短語中take somebody out這個短語“把某人帶出來”再加上介詞短語on a date來表示“某人主動約某人出去過(談戀愛)”，hit it off 是個精彩的短語了，意思是：一拍即合。

4 沒有一個女孩子喜歡跟羅杰約會，因為他是個吝嗇鬼。

None of the girls like to go on a date with Roger because he is a cheap skate.

【點評】go on a date with somebody這個短語中的go 加上介詞短語on a date表示出“去幽會”“赴約”。A cheap skate這是個精彩的俚語，it means "somebody is mean".

5 那也沒什麼。反正她們也沒有人會跟我出來約會!

That's no big thing. None of them would go on a date with me anyway!

【點評】That's no big thing. "No big thing" means " It doesn't matter." 不礙事兒。還可以說“no big deal”.
