To have a thing for someone: 喜歡某人

怎么用：

He has a thing for you. 他對你有點(diǎn)意思。

He's got a thing for you. 他對你有點(diǎn)意思。

He had a thing for you. 他以前對你有過意思。

They have a thing for each other. 他們之間有點(diǎn)感覺。

To have a thing for someone一般指是有點(diǎn)感覺，有點(diǎn)意思的階段。往往還沒有到確定的階段。英語中還有個(gè)詞：

Fling: 一時(shí)熱情。熱烈短暫的感情。

She had a brief fling with him. 她對他頭腦發(fā)熱。

Someone's thing: 擅長的事

It's my thing: 我擅長的、我的興趣愛好

怎么用：

Exercise is my thing. 鍛煉是我的愛好。

Painting is my thing. 畫畫是我擅長的事。

Food is my thing. 美食是我的愛好。

Learning English is my thing. 學(xué)英語是我喜愛的事。

That's his/her thing. 那是他/她的強(qiáng)項(xiàng)

如果要謙虛一點(diǎn)可以這么說：

Know a thing or two. 比較擅長、略知一二

怎么用：

A: I know a thing or two. 我對此略知一二。

B: You're being modest. You actually know a lot about this thing. 你真謙虛。你懂很多的!

Got a thing 幫你脫身

Got a thing: 有事情，小事情

怎么用：

I can't come to your party. I got a thing tonight. 我不能來你的派對了，我今晚有點(diǎn)事。

I've got a thing tomorrow night. 我明天有點(diǎn)事。

Thing的前面還可以加修飾詞：

I've got this work thing. 我有點(diǎn)工作。

I've got this social event thing. 我有點(diǎn)社交應(yīng)酬。

當(dāng)你說got a thing的時(shí)候一般都指有點(diǎn)小事情，不太嚴(yán)重的事。

Onto something: 方向是對的、值得做做看

We're onto something: 我們在正確的方向上。

怎么用：

I think I'm onto something. 我覺得我們快要成功了。

一般用在比較困難的事情上，努力了很久，沒有成功但感覺在正確的方向上。

怎么用：這個(gè)短語很口語，一般用來應(yīng)答別人。

A: Could you please edit this lesson? 你能編輯一下這個(gè)課嗎?
