#1. Fashion當形容詞

錯誤示范：

He is very fashion!

正確姿勢：

He is very fashionable!

解析：

Fashion是名詞，F(xiàn)ashionable才是形容詞

但這個詞有點過時，也不常用，形容時髦最好用這些詞：

Trendy: Shanghai is Trendy. 上海很時尚。

Stylish: She is stylish. 她很時髦。

Chic: The dress is so chic. 這條裙子很時髦別致。

#2. I very like...

錯誤示范：

I very like her.

正確姿勢：

I like her very much.

解析：

Very只能修飾形容詞，不能修飾動詞。

除了吧very much放在句末，這些用法也可以表達“很喜歡”：

I really like...

I love...

I'm into... 這個一般用在戀愛關(guān)系中，不要用錯哦。

#3. How to say...

錯誤示范：

Hi Spencer, how to say "榴蓮" in English?

正確姿勢：

Hi Spencer, how do you say "榴蓮" in English?

解析：

How to say...不是一個語法正確的完整句子，所以不能直接用來提問。

需要問“怎么說”，還可以用這些表達：

How do you say...

What do you call...in English?

注意：雖然問完整的問題不可以，但how to...還是可以用來做標題，只要記住這不是個完整的句子。

#4. Stay vs. live

錯誤示范：

Hi Spencer, how long have you stayed in China?

正確姿勢：

Hi Spencer, how long have you been living in China?

解析：

Stay一般指短期呆在某處，live則是指長期生活居住。

如果不知道對方是長期住還是短期呆，可以用這個句子：

How long have you been in China? 你在中國多久了?

#5. He vs. she

錯誤示范：

This is my wife. He is very smart.

正確姿勢：

This is my wife. She is very smart.

解析：

這是人人都知道的問題，卻又是時時在犯的問題。

Jenny來支招：

強化訓練。腦海中想象一個你需要經(jīng)常提到的人，比如伴侶、老板、朋友……連說個十遍、一百遍。聽起來有點傻，但真的有效。

#6. Foreign & foreigner

錯誤示范：

This is my friend Spencer. He is a foreigner.

正確姿勢：

This is my friend Spencer. He is an American.

解析：

雖然沒有語法錯誤，可是直指對方是個foreigner在英語中有點不禮貌，有點怪。

最好的說法是直接說對方是哪里人：

Spencer is an American.

Adam is a Canadian.

有時候International這個詞也可以用來介紹外國友人：

He is an international student.

Expat可以嗎?

Expat也可以表示外國的，但因為是比較老舊的詞，有些人會覺得用起來帶有感情色彩，不是最安全。
