耶穌走進(jìn)一家希爾頓飯店。

2. He tossed three nails on the counter and asked, "Can you put me up for the night? "

他向柜臺(tái)上丟了三根釘子，并問(wèn): “可以讓我住一晚嗎?"

耶穌被三根釘子釘死在十字架(cross)，分別釘在他雙手的手腕(wrist),和雙腳交疊的腳踝(ankle)處。

"put up"在這里有雙重含義，它除了可以表示“舉起、升起”，還有“住宿的意思，如：I put up at the inn last night. 我昨晚住在這家旅館。
