① bank指河流、小溪、池塘邊的陸地，意為“岸堤，壩”，上面可行人。

The river is threatening to overflow its banks. 河水大有決堤之勢。

② beach意為“海灘，湖灘，河灘”，指近水布滿沙或卵石的緩坡或傾斜地帶，其邊沿常被水淹沒。

③ coast意為“海岸（線）”，表示地理概念，指瀕臨海洋的較寬范圍的陸地或整個地區(qū)。
