詞類轉(zhuǎn)譯法（2）

　　(一)名詞轉(zhuǎn)譯成動詞

　　英語中大量由動詞派生的名詞和具有動作意義的名詞以及其它名詞往往可轉(zhuǎn)譯成漢語動詞。

　　1. 由動詞派生的名詞轉(zhuǎn)譯成動詞，在政論文體中出現(xiàn)比較多。

　　1) One after another, speakers called for the downfall of imperialism, abolition of exploitation of man by man,liberation of the oppressed of the world.

　　發(fā)言人一個接一個表示要打倒帝國主義，要消滅人剝削人的制度，要解放世界上的被壓迫人民。

　　2) Until 1972, all efforts by the two nations to curb the nuclear-arms race had founded on one point: U. S. insistence on the right to make on-site inspections of the Soviet strategic arsenal and Russia's refusal.

　　到一九七二年為止，美蘇之間關(guān)于限制核軍備競賽的一切努力都在這一點上失敗了：美國堅持有權(quán)視察蘇方戰(zhàn)略武器現(xiàn)場，而蘇聯(lián)則拒絕這樣做。

　　3) The 1967 UN document calls for the settlement of the Middle East conflict on the basis of Israeliwithdrawal from occupied territories and Arab acknowledgement of Israeli's right to exist.

　　1967年聯(lián)合國文件要求在以色列撤出所占的土地以及阿拉伯承認以色列的生存權(quán)利的基礎(chǔ)上來解決中東沖突。

　　4) Rockets have found application for the exploration of the universe.

　　火箭已經(jīng)用來探索宇宙。
