精靈鼠小弟 第45期:瑪戈飛走了

Next morning Margalo found a note on the branch of her fern when she woke.

第二天早晨，瑪戈醒來(lái)時(shí)，在她的羊齒植物的枝椏間發(fā)現(xiàn)了一個(gè)便條。

It said: BEWARE OF ASTRANGE CAT WHO WILL COME BY NIGHT.

那上面說(shuō)：當(dāng)心半夜來(lái)的那只陌生的貓。

It was signed A WELLWISHER.

底下的簽名是：一個(gè)好心人。

She kept the note under her wing all day long,wondering what she had better do,整整一天里，她都把這便條夾在她的翅膀下面，想知道她該怎么辦，but she didn't dare show it to anyone--not even to Stuart.

不過(guò)她不敢把它給任何人看——甚至不敢給斯圖亞特看。

She couldn't eat, she was so frightened.

"What had Ibetter do?" she kept saying to herself.

Finally, just before dark, she hopped up to an open window and without saying anything to anybody she flew away.

最后，就在天黑之前，她沒(méi)有對(duì)任何人說(shuō)什么就蹦上開(kāi)著的窗戶(hù)飛走了。

It was springtime, and she flew north, just as fast as she couldfly,那時(shí)是春天，她就盡可能地往北飛，

because something inside her told her that north was the way for a bird to go when spring comes to the land.

因?yàn)樗睦锵?，?dāng)春天來(lái)臨時(shí)，鳥(niǎo)兒就該往北飛。
