"Really, Fox," said Mom. "You're making such a fuss."

“真的，小狐，”媽媽說，“你太小題大做了。”

Louise called Doctor Ed to come over.

露易絲打給艾德醫(yī)生請(qǐng)他過來。

Then she stepped on Fox's other skate, bounced down the stairs, flew right out the front door, and ran smack into Mrs. O'Hara.

然后她踩中了小狐的另一只溜冰鞋，滾下樓梯，飛出前門，撞進(jìn)了奧哈拉太太的懷里。

"Poor Louise must hurt all over," said Doctor Ed.

“可憐的露易絲，摔得太狠了，”艾德醫(yī)生說。

But Louise didn't cry. She didn't complain. Not even a peep.

但露易絲沒有哭，她也沒抱怨，連哼都沒哼一聲。

"Very brave," said Doctor Ed. "Very brave."

“真勇敢，”艾德醫(yī)生說，“真勇敢。”

"Louise is tough," said Mom.

“露易絲很堅(jiān)強(qiáng)，”媽媽說。

"Now then," said Doctor Ed. "What's the matter with Fox?"

“現(xiàn)在，”艾德醫(yī)生說，“小狐摔哪兒了？”

"Oh, it's just a scratch," said Fox. "I don't like to make a fuss."

“哦，就是一點(diǎn)擦傷，”小狐說，“我不喜歡小題大做。”

Mom didn't say a word.
