What makes extreme sports so popular? The answer is the pursuit of challenges and risks. At present, there is a new extreme sport born almost every week. The following are some new ones:

究竟是什么使得極限運(yùn)動如此流行?答案便是對挑戰(zhàn)及冒險的不斷追逐?，F(xiàn)如今，幾乎每一周都有一種新的極限運(yùn)動誕生。下面便是幾種新型的極限運(yùn)動:

Street luging

This extreme sport is considered very dangerous and involves riding a street-luging-board, or a sled, down paved roads or courses. Sometimes, these adrenaline(剌激) seekers luge down hills in the middle of traffic, which made the sport much more risky.

這是一項(xiàng)很危險的極限運(yùn)動，參與者坐在街撬板或者雪撬上，沿著鋪設(shè)好的路線急速滑行。有時候?qū)で筘菁さ娜藗儠樦狡禄降缆分醒?，因而使得該運(yùn)動的危險性極大。

Rock jumping

Rock jumping is as crazy and descriptive(描述的) as it sounds. Each jumping from rock to rock means a new success for adrenaline junkies. Some even jump long distances with 100 feet more drops in between. Definitely it's not for the faint-hearted.

正如其名字所描述的那樣，跳巖運(yùn)動極為瘋狂。跳巖的美妙在于每從一塊巖石跳到另一塊巖石時，對于參與者而言都意味著一次成功。有些人甚至在間距超過100 英尺的巖石間跳躍。因而膽小的人是絕對不適合這項(xiàng)運(yùn)動的。

Although it looks like a lot of fun , it is actually extremely dangerous. It is similar to power kiting, but with this you simple jump into the air for brief periods of time, and allow the wind to drag you along. The most difficult part about kite jumping (and the most dangerous) is actually in the landing which is said to be hard to control.
