take up(討論，談起) 

 

Tip: take up用法很多，可以表示"開始從事"如 He took up Spanish while in Spain. (當他在西班牙的時候，他開始學習西班牙語。) ; "吸收(液體);溶解(固體)"如Blotting -paper takes up ink. (吸墨紙吸收墨水。 )，還有"占據(jù)，接受，拿起，改小"等用法，例句中是討論的意思，相當于 go down to，不過 go down to中的 to是介詞，后面接v-ing形式。
