A:May I help you, Madam?
B:I want to buy a life insurance policy.
A:Which kind of policy do you want to buy, a term policy, a whole life policy or an endowment policy?
B:I'm confused with so many kinds! Would you give me detailed information about them?
A:Of course. If you buy a term insurance policy, we'll pay the sum for which you're insured only if the policy-holder dies during the term of years stated in the policy. If you live longer, you'll get nothing.
B:Terrible. I won't buy this one. What are the other two?
A:Maybe you can buy the whole-life insurance. It gives you protection for your lifetime. If you die, we will pay your heirs the sum for which you are insured if you continue to pay the premium through your life.
B:I see. I'll buy the endowment policy, for it enables me to save money for my own old ageand provide money for my husband if I die.
