Some people grow old gracefully, while others fight and scratch the whole way.
有人優(yōu)雅地老去,也有人掙扎著不愿面對歲月流逝的現(xiàn)實。
Judy, a friend of mine, refusing to give in to the looks of growing old, goes out and buys a new line of expensive cosmetics guaranteed to make her look years younger.

After a lengthy sitting before the mirror applying the "miracle" products, she asks her husband, "Darling, honestly, if you didn't know me, what age would you say I am?"
坐在鏡子前長時間地涂涂抹抹這種“神奇的”化妝品后,她問丈夫:“親愛的,你跟我說實話,如果你不認識我,你認為我多大了?”
Looking over her carefully, he replied, "Judging from your skin, twenty; your hair, eighteen;and your figure, twenty five."
他仔細地看了看她,說:“從你的皮膚判斷是20歲;從你的頭發(fā)看是18歲;看身材嘛,25歲。”
"Oh, you flatterer!" she gushed. Just as she was about to tell him his reward, he stops her by saying...
“哎呀,你這個馬屁精!”她嗲嗲地說。就在她要說出對他的獎賞時,他打斷了她……
"WHOA, hold on there sweety!" he interrupted. "I haven't added them up yet!"
“啊啊,親愛的,打住!”他說,“我還沒把這些數(shù)字加起來呢!”
