[00:01.14]Cleaning Knives 清理刀子 [00:07.48]My daughter Laura and her classmates were baking a cake in cooking class one day. 一天，女兒勞拉和同學們上烹飪課，正在烤蛋糕。 [00:13.49]After about 35 minutes the teacher said, “Laura, would you check on the cake? 大約35分鐘后，老師說：“勞拉，去看看蛋糕吧? My daughter Laura and her classmates were baking acake in cooking class one day. After about 35minutes the teacher said, “Laura, would you checkon the cake? Just put a knife in it, and if it comes outclean the cake is ready.”

一天，女兒勞拉和同學們上烹飪課，正在烤蛋糕。大約35分鐘后，老師說：“勞拉，去看看蛋糕吧?把刀子插進去，拿出來很干凈就證明蛋糕烤好了。”

After about 10 minutes Laura came back. “Whattook you so long?” the teacher asked.

大約10分鐘后，勞拉才回來。“怎么那么長時間?”老師問。

“Well,” said Laura, “I stuck the knife in the cake and it came out so clean that I stuck all theother dirty knives in too.”

“哦，”勞拉說，“我把刀子插進去，拿出來很干凈，于是就把所有的臟刀子都插進去了。”
