They have a small farm with pigs, goats and some cows. 在英格蘭的沼澤地住著一個農(nóng)夫和他太太。他們有一塊小農(nóng)場，里頭養(yǎng)著豬、山羊和一些母牛。 [00:22.30]One morning when the wife went out to milk bessy the cow, she saw her lying in the hay looking sick. 一天早上，當農(nóng)夫太太們出門去母牛貝西那邊擠奶時，看到貝西躺在干草堆上，看起來好像生了病。 [00:28.08]Bessy was pregnant. Bessy was going to give birth to her calf. There was a problem. 原來貝西懷孕了，她的小牛即將出生。不過有個問題就是， [00:36.05]The cow was in a lot of pain and the wife could see the baby calf kicking inside the mother. [00:47.21]She pushed against the belly of the cow, thinking perhaps the pressure would squeeze the baby out like toothpaste from a tube. 她在母牛肚子上推了又推，心想或許用力壓可以把小牛像從牙膏筒擠牙膏一樣，把它擠出來， [00:55.31]This caused more pain for the cow. 結(jié)果這樣一來母牛更痛了。 [00:58.34]There was one thing the women could do. She rolled up her sleeves and put her arm inside the cow. 農(nóng)夫太太現(xiàn)在只有一件事可做。她卷起袖子，把手伸進母牛肚子里; [01:05.39]She felt around for the baby. She felt its legs and then its head. 她摸到小牛了，也摸到腿和頭所在的位置。 [01:10.53]She grabbed the little calf's head and pulled it out. 于是她抓住小牛的頭往外拉， [01:14.00]Soon, the calf was out of the mother and she was licking it tenderly. 小牛很快便從媽媽肚子里被拉了出來，母牛則溫柔地舔著它。 [01:19.27]The wife told her husband all about her adventure that day. 農(nóng)夫太太把那天冒險的事情全部告訴了她丈夫。
