Jen had a best friend whom she loved dearly. They saw each other or talked on the phone everyday. Christmas was coming up and Jen wanted to do something special for her friend. She knew her friend liked the classical song Pachabel's Canon and she knew her friend loved the violin. Jen knew what to give her best friend.
She walked down the hallway and went to her parent's closet. There she took out an oldviolin no one played. Jen looked in the pile of CD's her family owned and found Pachabel'sCanon. She played the song loud. Copying what she heard squeaked out some sounds on the dusty violin.
Four weeks later, it was time to give her friend her present. She sat her friend down, took a deep breath and began to play. The song was a little sharp on the ear at times, but her friend hardly remembered that. Instead, her friend remembered the tremendous love she had for Jen the day she played Pachebel's Canon on the violin for her.
