1. 解詞釋義
Hard有“嚴(yán)厲的，嚴(yán)格的”之意，be hard on someone是指“嚴(yán)厲苛刻地對待他人”。要某人不要對自己太苛刻嚴(yán)厲就可以說“Don’t be hard on yourself.”以此來安慰對方。你想幫某人說情時，也可以將這句話套用成“Don’t be so hard on sb.”，意思是“別對他人太苛刻”。

e.g. Don't be too hard on him; he didn't mean to do it.
不要對他太嚴(yán)厲,他并不是故意這么做的。
