　　1. 解詞釋義

　　嘴巴是人體最重要的部分之一，吃東西要靠它，表達意思也要靠它。然而，嘴巴也可能是一個危險工具。中國人常說:“病從口入，禍從口出”。在這個習(xí)語中bad和mouth之間有一個連接符號，即：bad-mouth。意思是“說某人的壞話，企圖損壞他人的名譽”。因此，對話中的“Don’t bad-mouth your parents. ”的意思是“不要老是說你的父母如何地不好。”

　　e.g. I really get tired of hearing Sally bad-mouth her mother and father. She never saysanything good about them, and yet I know they are good decent people who give hereverything she wants.

　　他說:薩利老是說她父母怎么不好。我真是聽得煩死了。她從來也沒有說過他們什么好話。然而，我知道他們都是很好，很正派的人。不管薩利要什么，他們都給她。

　　Ps 1：wake sb up的意思是“喚醒某人，叫醒某人”。例如：

　　I don't mind him(his)coming in late if he doesn't wake me up. 他回來得很晚倒沒什么，只要不把我弄醒就行了。

　　Why do you wake me up at this unearthly hour? 你為什么在這個鬼時候叫醒我?

　　Ps 2：on time的意思是“準(zhǔn)時”。例如：

　　His sense of duty pricked him on to finish the work on time. 他的責(zé)任心驅(qū)使他按時完成工作。

　　He may arrive on time if he is interested in the match. 如果他對這場比賽感興趣,他可能會按時到。

　　Ps 3：be responsible for something的意思是“對......負責(zé)”。例如：

　　He denied that he was responsible for the accident. 他否認他應(yīng)對那個事故負責(zé)。

　　If you originated your own projections, you were held responsible for them. 如果你提出自己的計劃，你得對它負責(zé)。

　　Ps 4：all the time的意思是“一直，總是”。例如：

　　As the hall was very hot, she kept fanning herself all the time. 因為大廳里很熱，她扇個不停。
