一、一般疑問句

一般疑問句（general questions）主要是對某一情況是不是事實(shí)提出質(zhì)疑，需要用肯定詞yes或否定詞no回答，因此也可以叫作是非疑問句（yes-no question），朗讀時(shí)一般疑問句句尾多用升調(diào)。

（一）一般疑問句的結(jié)構(gòu)

一般疑問句的結(jié)構(gòu)由陳述句的結(jié)構(gòu)改變謂語動詞的位置而成，可以分為三種情況。

1.含有be動詞的句子改成一般疑問句的方法很簡單，將be動詞提前。

注：some在一般疑問句中通常改成any。

2.句中含有助動詞、情態(tài)動詞時(shí)，將它們移至主語前面。

3.如果謂語動詞是行為動詞，它前面又沒有任何助動詞或情態(tài)動詞，這時(shí)需要在主語前加助動詞do（第三人稱單數(shù)一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)用does；一般過去時(shí)態(tài)用did）構(gòu)成一般疑問句，行為動詞一律用原形。

（二）一般疑問句的回答方式

一般疑問句的肯定回答用“yes”，后接簡略式的肯定結(jié)構(gòu)；否定回答用“no”，后接簡略形式的否定結(jié)構(gòu)。

— Are you Miss Zhang？　—Yes，I am ./ No，I' m not.

— Do you always get up early on Sundays？　—Yes，I do ./ No，I do n't.

— Does Tom like watching cartoons？　—Yes，he does ./ No，he does n't.

— Did Jack write a letter to his girlfriend last night？　—Yes，he did ./ No，he did n't.

— Will Lucy cook dinner for her family tonight？　—Yes，she will ./ No，she won't .
