5. 貿(mào)易大國(guó)

China is the world's second largest trading nation, second only to America. It leads the world in exports and is second in imports. Since its entry into the WTO in 2001, China's share of global trade has doubled. It accounts for 10.38 percent of the world's exports and 9.43 percent of the imports. For many countries around the world, China has rapidly become their most important bilateral trade partner. However, there still have been concerns over large trade imbalances between China and the other countries. The trade frictions are increasing. Nonetheless, its entry into WTO ensures that the country will remain a key figure in international trade.
