影片簡介：

霍金(埃迪·雷德梅恩 飾)和簡(菲麗希緹·瓊斯 飾)相識于一場舞會上，兩人初次見面交談甚歡，頗有一番相見恨晚的意味。之后，霍金大膽地邀請簡參加舞會，二人以此為契機(jī)，陷入了熱戀之中。

不幸的是，一次昏迷令霍金被確診患上了罕見的肌萎縮側(cè)索硬化癥，醫(yī)生坦言他只剩兩年的生命，被病魔折磨的霍金陷入了抑郁之中，然而簡并沒有因此而拋棄他，恰恰相反，幾經(jīng)波折之后，兩人踏入了婚姻的殿堂，簡還為霍金生下了一個活潑可愛的孩子。霍金的身體迅速地虛弱下來，與此同時，他在學(xué)術(shù)研究上卻取得了一個又一個成就。為了照顧霍金，簡心甘情愿成為了他“背后的女人”，但是，這也恰恰成為了兩人幸?；橐隼锏牡谝坏懒芽p。
