在上一講中我們學(xué)習(xí)了如何禮貌地詢問客人誰來付帳單以及如何逐項為客人解釋帳單上的帳目。在這一講中，我們要學(xué)習(xí)當(dāng)帳單上出現(xiàn)錯誤時應(yīng)該如何應(yīng)對和向客人告別時所使用的英語句型。

現(xiàn)在讓我們學(xué)習(xí)新的對話內(nèi)容，請?zhí)貏e注意新的生詞與句型。

Jack: Leo, I have a query. This amount, under newspapers.

Leo: Ah yes. I see the problem.

Leo: You’ve been charged for the local newspaper.

Jack: But Leo, I never ordered a local paper. I can’t read Chinese you see. 

Leo: You’re quite right.

Leo: I’m terribly sorry about that.

Leo: I’ll fix it right away.

Leo: There, problem fixed.

Jack: Thanks.

在以前的課文中我們學(xué)習(xí)過如何在餐館里向客人解釋帳單的明細(xì)帳目?，F(xiàn)在讓我們再學(xué)習(xí)一些新的處理這種情況時會用到的句型。

Leo: Ah yes. I see the problem. You’ve been charged for the local newspaper.

在這句話中，利奧一下子就發(fā)現(xiàn)了錯誤的原因，那就是帳單上列出了一項當(dāng)?shù)貓蠹埖馁M用，可實際的情況是杰克從來沒有定過這份報紙，因為他根本就不懂中文。在這句話中，利奧用了這樣的說法: I see the problem, 我明白了。。。另外，利奧還說 you’ve been charged for …這是向您收取的。。費用。不知您是否還記得，在以前的課文中，當(dāng)蒙納對她的帳單產(chǎn)生疑問時，利奧曾經(jīng)使用過這樣的短語: that’s for …..這是。。。的費用。完整的句子是That’s for the dry cleaning. 這是干洗的費用。好現(xiàn)在讓我們跟著英語老師一起來練習(xí)這些句型。

現(xiàn)在讓我們一起來聽聽利奧在確認(rèn)杰克的帳單出現(xiàn)問題時是怎么說的。

利奧: 出了這樣的錯誤我真的很抱歉。
Leo: I’m terribly sorry about that.

利奧: 我立刻就改正這個錯誤。

我們曾經(jīng)在第七講中學(xué)習(xí)過sorry, 對不起，這個詞匯的用法。所以在這里我就不重復(fù)了。不過我要提醒各位的是在英語中道歉并不一定表示錯誤的原因在你，我們說sorry 的用意更多的是在于就給客人帶來的不便表示一種歉意。請跟著老師練習(xí)下列句子。
