因北方蔬菜成熟較早,直接影響到已有南方蔬菜飽和供應(yīng)的市場(chǎng),致使蔬菜價(jià)格猛跌,菜農(nóng)已開(kāi)始扔棄滯銷蔬菜。
文中的unsalable vegetables就是指“滯銷蔬菜”,unsalable就是“滯銷的”,比如unsalable products(積壓產(chǎn)品)、unsalable stock(無(wú)銷路股票)。Unmarketable、poorselling等詞也可以用來(lái)表示“滯銷”。為了把滯銷商品盡快銷售出去,商家常會(huì)開(kāi)展sales promotion(促銷)。
如今,為了解決目前的oversupply of vegetables(蔬菜供應(yīng)量加大),不少地區(qū)已組織超市等單位掀起buying spree(收購(gòu)潮),盡力避免菜農(nóng)遭受heavy loss(巨大損失)。為解決這一難題,還要著眼流通環(huán)節(jié)。據(jù)稱,each link in distribution(每個(gè)流通環(huán)節(jié))都會(huì)加價(jià)10%至15%收購(gòu)蔬菜。
