得州總檢察長建議給教師配槍

Immediately after the school shooting in Texas, conservative politicians reacted with another push for arming school officials to protect students – a notion that has raised strong objections among teachers, researchers and gun control activists.

得克薩斯州發(fā)生校園槍擊事件后，美國保守黨政客立即作出反應，再次推動學校教職員工配槍保護學生，這一提案在教師、研究人員和控槍活動家中引起強烈反對。

"We can arm and prepare and train teachers and other administrators to respond quickly, because the reality is we don't have the resources to have law enforcement at every school," Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton told Fox News on May 24.
得州總檢察長肯•帕克斯頓5月24日對福克斯新聞表示：“我們可以武裝、培訓教師和其他管理人員，讓他們有所準備，迅速做出反應，因為我們沒辦法在每一所學校安排執(zhí)法人員。”

Texas has already pioneered such training, the School Marshal Program, which allows teachers and administrators to carry handguns after 80 hours of training at academies overseen by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
