這幾個“eye”的短語，你看得清嗎?

　　上次我們學習了兩個有關(guān)mouth 的短語，我們先來復(fù)習一下。Heart in your mouth means you feel nervous or scared. 意為“緊張的，害怕的”，down in the mouth means you look unhappy or depressed.，意為“不開心，極其失落”。那么，今天我們來學習有關(guān)eye的短語。

　　1、an eye for an eye

　　An eye for an eye means the idea that a person who causes another person to suffer should suffer in an equal amount. 中文里有個說法叫做以牙還牙，用來形容報復(fù)別人。英語中表達這個意思可以有兩個短語，an eye for an eye 和a tooth for a tooth 都可以用來表示報復(fù)別人。

　　We should learn to forgive people who hurt us badly. We should not adopt the way of an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.

　　當別人上海我們時，我們應(yīng)該學會寬恕別人，而不能以牙還牙。

　　The best way to deal with him is an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.

　　對付他的最好方法就是以眼還眼以牙還牙。

　　2、see eye to eye(with)

　　If two people see eye to eye, they agree with each other. 意為同意別人的觀點。中文里有個說法，用“兩個人看對眼了”來形容彼此觀點一致。英文中see eye to eye 即可用來表達同意別人觀點。

　　My sister doesn’t see eye to eye with me about tomorrow’s plan.

　　關(guān)于明天的計劃，我姐姐不同意我的觀點。

　　I think it’s really important that we see eye to eye on this subject.

　　我認為在這個話題上我們兩個的觀點一致是十分重要的。

　　3、eye candy

　　Eye candy means a person or thing that is attractive but not intelligent or useful. 從字面來看，這個短語意思為眼睛里的糖果，其實它的正確意思是“華而不實，花瓶角色”。

　　糖果雖然看上去很誘人，但不一定就好吃，可以用來比喻某個東西看上去雖然美好，但是卻一點不實用。也可以指“養(yǎng)眼的人或物”。

　　All people love eye candies and sometimes they don’t care if the things are useful or not.

　　每個人都喜歡美觀的事物，有時候人們也不關(guān)心他們是否有用。
