Nearly 40 percent of college students in China have followed internet celebrities on social media platforms, according to a blue book review regarding China’s society released by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on Dec. 25.

Game players and beauty influencers are the most favored groups of Chinese college students, the blue book said.
藍(lán)皮書(shū)中說(shuō),游戲類(lèi)和美妝類(lèi)網(wǎng)紅最受大學(xué)生青睞。
8 percent of the followers check internet celebrity updates daily, 16 percent at least once a week, and 5.5 percent once a month.
其中,8.0%的大學(xué)生基本每天都查看網(wǎng)紅動(dòng)態(tài),16.0%的大學(xué)生至少每周查看1次,5.5%的大學(xué)生至少每月查看1次。
The report also found that about 10 percent of the students who are in the process of earning vocational education degrees pay attention to internet celebrity posts practically on a daily basis, 3.4 percentage points higher than college students.
報(bào)告還發(fā)現(xiàn),約有10%的高職生基本每天都會(huì)查看網(wǎng)紅動(dòng)態(tài),這一情況比本科生高出3.4%。
Statistics showed that 41.7 percent of undergraduates follow game players, and 31.6 percent follow beauty bloggers.
調(diào)查結(jié)果表明,有41.7%的大學(xué)生關(guān)注游戲類(lèi)網(wǎng)紅,31.6%的大學(xué)生關(guān)注美妝類(lèi)網(wǎng)紅。
In addition, online celebrities in cooking, fashion shows, as well as in outdoor activities as well as the tourism sector are also attractive to college students. They are respectively followed by 25.9, 16.6 and 16.0 percent of the student followers.
此外,美食烹飪類(lèi)網(wǎng)紅、秀場(chǎng)類(lèi)網(wǎng)紅、旅游戶外類(lèi)網(wǎng)紅的受歡迎程度也較高,他們占比分別為25.9%、16.6%和16.0%。
Sports and technology channels are respectively favored by 19.0 percent and 16.2 percent of male followers, while 38.0, 23.5 and 23.2 percent of the female students follow food, gaming and shopping channels.

Watching live streaming and following internet celebrities have both become a way of relaxation for college students, said the blue book report.
