I called to the guard and then made my way forward as quickly as possible.

I reached the back platform of the tender, and there stood Kroller upon the engine board,
我走到供給車廂操作臺(tái)后端，馬丁站在引擎室旁邊，
his hat and coat off, his long black hair floating wildly in the wind,
他的帽子和外套脫掉了，長長的黑發(fā)在風(fēng)中雜亂飛舞，
his shirt unbuttoned at the front, his sleeves rolled up, with a pistol in his teeth,
襯衫紐扣也解開了，袖口高高挽起，嘴里居然還銜著一把槍。
and thus glaring upon the fireman, who lay motionless upon the fuel.
他的眼珠瞪著溜圓，直勾勾地看著那位鍋爐工，那位工人手腳不停，正忙著給機(jī)車添加燃料，
The furnace was stuffed till the very latch of the door was red-hot,
爐膛已塞得滿滿當(dāng)當(dāng)，門閂也燒得通紅，
and the whole engine was quivering and swaying as though it would shiver to pieces.
整列火車顫抖搖晃著，好像立馬要散了架似的。
“Kroller! Kroller!” I CRIed, at the top of my voice.
“克羅爾！克羅爾！”我聲嘶力竭地叫著，
The crazy engineer started, and caught the pistol in his hand.
那位瘋狂的司機(jī)愣了一下，將手槍用手接住。
Oh, how those great black eyes glared, and how ghastly and frightful the face looked!
天呀，那雙瞪如牛鈴的黑眼睛撲閃著，那臉看起來那么可怖慘白！
“Ha! ha! ha!” he yelled demoniacally, glaring upon me like a roused lion.
“哈！哈！哈！”他魔鬼般嘶叫著， 像一頭醒獅那樣瞪視我。
They said that I could not make it! But see! see! See my new power! See my new engine! I made it, and they are jealous of me!
他們說我無法做到！可是，看呀！看呀！看我新的機(jī)車！看我新的發(fā)動(dòng)機(jī)！我創(chuàng)造出新的速度，他們嫉妒死我了！
I made it, and when it was done, they stole it from me.
這是我的功勞，所有發(fā)明完成后，他們從我這偷走技術(shù)，
But I have found it! For years I have been wandering in search of my great engine, and they said it was not made.
可是我，才是這一發(fā)明的主人。多年來，我一直到處尋找我那了不起的發(fā)動(dòng)機(jī)，他們一直說那是不可能造出來的，
But I have found it! I knew it this morning when I saw it at Dantzic, and I was determined to have it.

And I've got it! Ho! ho! ho! we're on the way to the moon, I say!
