A:What do you think of last night's concert?
B:It was wonderful. How did you like it?
A:I'm no judge of music. Though I can enjoy it, I do think the performance is marvelous. The beautiful music and singing enchanted me.
B:What you said is absolutely right. It is great. Especially the Swan Lake. I loved it in particular.
A:You seemed carried away by the melody.
B:Yes. Is it possible for me to get the ticket for today's matinee?
A:Do you want to watch it again?
B:Yes, it was so fascinating.
A:Excuse me, but is this seat taken?
B:No, I think.
A:OK, I'll sit down here. To tell the truth, I don't like the seats in the back rows. How about you?
B:(Looking at A unpleasantly) I think it's OK.
A:Don't you think the person in front us is blocking your view?
C:(Turning around her head) Please don't talk during the show.
A:I can't see because of the person in front of me.
C:You don't have to see the performer at the concert. I can't enjoy the melody because of you!
A:Oh, I'm sorry. But it is just you that is in my way.
C:You'd better choose another seat.
A:哦,抱歉。
A:Did you attend the concert last night?
B:Yes, I did.
A:How did you like Wumin's singing?
B:She sang well, I thought.
A:She sang a very melodious folk song, didn't she?
B:Yes, a very charming love song.
A:What type of music do you like best?
B:I like classical music best.
A:How did you like the rest of the program at the concert last night?
B:I like the tenor solo fairly well.
A:The quartette was not half bad, either.
B:There was a special item on the program-Chinese Popular Music. What do you say to that?
A:Chinese popular music does not appeal to me. But, so far as I know, it is played all over the country and is enjoyed by people of all ages in many districts.

A:This is the first time I've ever attended a concert in China. I'm so excited.
B:I know you are a great music lover, Mr. Green. Do you play any instruments?
A:I do play piano. As a matter of fact, I nearly became a pianist. But I am not sorry I became a businessman. I still play piano now, just for fun.
B:Now let's see what we have on the program: a string orchestra, a violin solo, a piano duet a piano concerto and some other interesting items.
A:I suppose all the compositions are world famous pieces.
B:Certainly. They are Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata; Johann Strauss's By the Beautiful Blue Danube and some famous light music.
A:Are there any songs in the concert?
B:Yes. Some are Chinese songs and some are foreign songs. All of them are adapted for some famous movies.
A:Well, just now you said there is a piano concerto at the concert. I really hope it'll be Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai.

A:The concert was at Xinghai Music Hall. The acoustics were supposed to be great.
B:Did they play Japanese music?
A:No, they played Western music.
B:You mean they played rock and roll?
A:Western music is not necessarily rock and roll. Be more cultural, OK?
B:What did they play then?
A:They played some classical music composed by Beethoven and Mozart. Both in the East and the West, people love their music.
B:That's why people say music is universal.
A:What's your favorite kind of music? Do you like pop music?
B:Almost all kinds of music. But I like country music best.
A:I like country music, too. But sometimes I like jazz and classical music.
B:You have good taste in music.
