681　too，also和either

① too表示“也”時，通常用于肯定句，比also更通俗，同also，as well可換用，可放在句中，也可放在句尾。

② also用于肯定句，表示一個人的兩種情況，或兩個人的同樣情況，常位于be動詞、助動詞或情態(tài)動詞之后，行為動詞之前，不居句尾。

She is good at maths. He is also good at maths. 她擅長數(shù)學，他也擅長數(shù)學。

Li Ming went to Paris and Zhang Hong，too，went to Paris. 李明去了巴黎，張紅也去了巴黎。

I am a student. He is a student，too.

I am a student. He is also a student. 我是個學生，他也是個學生。

I like English and she likes English，too.

I like English and she also likes English. 我喜歡英語，她也喜歡英語。

Will she also come？

Will she come，too？她也將來嗎？

③ either用作副詞時，也表示“也”，通常用于否定句中，放在句尾，前面可用逗號，也可不用。either也用于否定疑問句中。

He didn't come and she didn't either. 他沒來，她也沒來。

If you don't go there，I won't go，either. 如果你不去那里，我也不去。

He can't answer the question and I can't，either. 他不能回答這個問題，我也不能。

Haven't you read the book either？你也沒讀過這本書嗎？

Don't you speak English either？你也不講英語嗎？

He did not come，and she did not come also.

He did not come，and she also did not come.

He did not come，and she did not come either.

①在表示建議或邀請的句子中，如果是以否定形式表示肯定意義，用too，而不用either。

Wouldn't you have a cup of tea too？您也來杯咖啡好嗎？（=Please have a cup of tea too.）

Won't you join us，too？你也來加入我們嗎？（=Will you please join us，too？）

②在表示否定意義的否定句中，助動詞前可用too，而不用either，這種結構可用not…either改寫。

I didn't go to the meeting，and he too didn't go. 我沒有去參加會議，他也沒去。（可改寫為：…and he didn't go either.）

③在表示規(guī)勸、責備、抱怨的修辭性問句中，如果句子本身的否定形式表達肯定意義，用too，而不用either。這類句子可用should，had better等改寫成肯定形式。

Don't you know I am short of money，too？你難道不知道我也沒有錢嗎？（=You should know…）

Can't you see I've got teeth，too？你難道看不出我也有牙齒嗎？

④反意疑問句中的陳述句部分為肯定式時，用too，而不用either，不受附加問句的影響。

He passed the entrance examination too，didn't he？他也通過了入學考試，是嗎？
