貝克漢姆于6月20日造訪同濟(jì)大學(xué),原定前往同濟(jì)大學(xué)球場(chǎng)與同濟(jì)校隊(duì)和申鑫青年隊(duì)互動(dòng),現(xiàn)場(chǎng)圍觀粉絲人山人海,有人爬到樹上,有人翻上墻頭,保安們手拉手維持秩序,還未開始現(xiàn)場(chǎng)便已失控。由于現(xiàn)場(chǎng)圍觀群眾熱情過(guò)于高漲,發(fā)生踩踏事故,學(xué)生、工作人員、警察均不同程度受傷,活動(dòng)被迫取消,小貝從出現(xiàn)到離場(chǎng)不到5分鐘時(shí)間。據(jù)報(bào)道稱,至少造成五六人受傷。
