在口語(yǔ)中，當(dāng)我們想要舉例說(shuō)明的時(shí)候，通常會(huì)用下面的表達(dá)：

今天我們學(xué)習(xí)兩個(gè)縮寫(xiě)詞：“ i.e.” 和 “e.g.”。相信不少小伙伴一定見(jiàn)過(guò)吧！但是你知道它們?cè)趺磥?lái)讀嗎？意思上又如何進(jìn)行區(qū)分呢？由于是縮寫(xiě)詞，所以在書(shū)寫(xiě)的時(shí)候，一定不能將縮寫(xiě)中的“.”丟掉哦！

i.e. 是拉丁語(yǔ) id est 的縮寫(xiě)，意思是“那就是說(shuō)、換句話說(shuō)”，等同于that is / in other，用來(lái)進(jìn)一步解釋前面所表明的觀點(diǎn)。

I like citrus fruits(柑橘類(lèi)水果), i.e., the juicy(多汁的), edible fruits (食用水果)with leathery(堅(jiān)韌的), aromatic(有香味的) rinds (皮)of any of numerous tropical(熱帶的), usually thorny shrubs (多刺的灌木)or trees of the genus Citrus(柑橘屬).

The food was okay.

i.e.I ate it because I was hungry, but wished it was better.

I'm so tired.

i.e. I want to go home.

e.g. 是拉丁語(yǔ) exempli gratia 的縮寫(xiě)，意思是“舉個(gè)例子，比如”，等同于for example、 for the sake of example、such as，使用 e.g. 的目的是用幾個(gè)例子來(lái)說(shuō)明前面的觀點(diǎn)。

I like citrus fruits(柑橘類(lèi)水果), e.g., tangerines(橘子), lemons(檸檬), and limes(酸橙).

I'm so tired.e.g., I fell asleep at my desk this morning.

She is really sweet. e.g., She brought me a cupcake for my birthday.

He is so nice. e.g., He takes care of his nephew after work.
