25年前，17歲的邁克(扎克·埃夫隆 Zac Efron 飾)叱咤校園，是整個(gè)藍(lán)球隊(duì)的靈魂人物。本來可以順利拿到獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金直接保送大學(xué)他，卻為了愛情而退出了人生最重要的一次出賽，從此他的生命中再也沒有出現(xiàn)過高潮。
25年后他事業(yè)上的碌碌無為，家庭關(guān)系上更是處理的一踏糊涂。面對(duì)生活的壓力，他常常懷疑自己25年前的那個(gè)決定。
人生總是充滿著奇跡，邁克在一次事故后居然變成了17歲時(shí)的樣子。于是邁克在好友的幫助之下重新返回高中，去尋求一次改變命運(yùn)的機(jī)會(huì)。遭遇朋友瘋狂追求校長(zhǎng)、與自己的兒女成為同學(xué)、以及無法克制自己對(duì)妻子的感情等一系列事件，邁克似乎最終意識(shí)到了什么。
現(xiàn)在，重新面對(duì)和25年前一樣的機(jī)會(huì)，他最終做出了讓所有人意外的一個(gè)選擇。
