Lucky now (sneezes) there's no knee-joint to make; that might puzzle a little; but a mere shin-bone—why it's easy as making hop-poles; only I should like to put a good finish on. 這會(huì)兒，真運(yùn)氣，（打噴嚏）用不著做膝節(jié)骨；那才使人傷腦筋；只不過是做塊脛骨——這就跟做根跳桿一樣省事嘍；但愿能把它順順當(dāng)當(dāng)?shù)母赏?。時(shí)間呀，時(shí)間，我只要有時(shí)間就行啦，那我就可以給他做出一條挺齊整的腿，（打噴嚏）讓他能夠把右腳往后一退，向客廳里的太太好好地行個(gè)禮。我在店鋪櫥窗里看到的那種鹿皮腿和小牛腿，根本就甭跟這個(gè)比。那些都是泡過水的，的確是泡過水的；自然就要鬧風(fēng)濕癥嘍，鬧風(fēng)濕癥就得去看大夫，（打噴嚏）洗洗擦擦，象張羅活腿一樣。唔，那么，在我把它鋸開以前，我得去找那個(gè)老蒙兀兒，看看長(zhǎng)短是不是正好；我猜想，要是有點(diǎn)不對(duì)頭的話，準(zhǔn)是太短了。哈哈！后跟也做好了，我們真運(yùn)氣；啊他來了，要不是他，就一定是有什么人來了。亞哈（逐漸走過來）

(During the ensuing scene, the carpenter continues sneezing at times).
