　　Dropping his harpoon, the brawny savage caughthim in his arms, and by an almost miraculousdexterity and strength, sent him high up bodily intothe air; then slightly tapping his stern in mid-somerset, the fellow landed with bursting lungs uponhis feet, while Queequeg, turning his back upon him,lighted his tomahawk pipe and passed it to me for apuff.

　　這個(gè)身體結(jié)實(shí)的野人,丟下他的標(biāo)槍,把他一把挾了起來(lái),用一種簡(jiǎn)直是不可思議的靈巧和手勁,把他的身體一拋就拋得老高;然后在他翻斗的時(shí)候,朝他那尾梢輕輕一拍,那家伙就肺都要炸裂似地雙腳落地了,魁魁格卻轉(zhuǎn)過(guò)身來(lái),理都不理他,點(diǎn)燃起他那煙斗斧,遞給我吸一口。

　　Capting! Capting! yelled the bumpkin, running toward that officer; Capting, Capting, here's thedevil.

　　船長(zhǎng)!船長(zhǎng)!那鄉(xiāng)巴佬高聲叫嚷著,奔向船長(zhǎng)那邊去;船長(zhǎng),船長(zhǎng),你看那惡魔。

　　Hallo, you sir, cried the Captain, a gaunt rib of the sea, stalking up to Queequeg, what inthunder do you mean by that? Don't you know you might have killed that chap?What him say?said Queequeg, as he mildly turned to me.

　　喂,你這老兄,瘦得象塊船板的船長(zhǎng),昂首闊步地走到魁魁格跟前,叫了起來(lái),你究竟為什么要這樣做?你不知道你會(huì)把那家伙弄死嗎?

　　He say, said I, that you came near kill-e that man there, pointing to the still shiveringgreenhorn.

　　他說(shuō)什么?魁魁格溫和地轉(zhuǎn)過(guò)身來(lái),對(duì)我說(shuō)。他說(shuō),我說(shuō)道,你簡(jiǎn)直要把那邊那個(gè)人給弄死了,我指著那個(gè)還在哆嗦的毛頭小子。

　　Kill-e, cried Queequeg, twisting his tattooed face into an unearthly expression of disdain, ah!him bevy small-e fish-e; Queequeg no kill-e so small-e fish-e; Queequeg kill-e big whale!

　　弄...死,魁魁格嚷了起來(lái),他那張刺花的臉扭成一副可怕而蔑視的神情,哈,他是一條很小的小魚(yú)魚(yú),魁魁格不殺...這樣的小魚(yú)魚(yú);魁魁格要?dú)?..大鯨!

　　Look you, roared the Captain, I'll kill-e you, you cannibal, if you try any more of your tricksaboard here; so mind your eye.

　　喂!船長(zhǎng)咆哮道,如果你敢再在這船上耍花樣,我就要弄死你,你這生番;你要留神些。

　　But it so happened just then, that it was high time for the Captain to mind his own eye. Theprodigious strain upon the main-sail had parted the weather-sheet, and the tremendousboom was now flying from side to side, completely sweeping the entire after part of the deck.

　　但是,就在這時(shí),碰巧是輪到這個(gè)船長(zhǎng)該自己留神的時(shí)候了。由于風(fēng)力過(guò)猛,主帆脫離了風(fēng)帆,這時(shí)候,那只可怕的帆杠正在急速地左右飛擺,整個(gè)后甲板都在它的掃射范圍內(nèi)。
