四、感覺的表達(dá)：

1. Vision (1)

1) We can see the train station from our house.
   從我們的屋子可以看到火車站。
   *see 是指即使不注意看也看得到。
   此外，還可以用于表了解、商量、思考……等意思。

2) Alice did not look at the students.
   愛麗斯沒有看到學(xué)生。
   *look at 要比 see 更下意識(shí)地看。

3) She has gone to take a look at the art gallery.
   她為了參觀美術(shù)品陳列館而出去了。

4) The audience stared the acrobats in great wonder.
   觀眾以驚異的眼光注視著雜技演員。
   *stare at 是盯、凝視的意思。

5) I like to gaze at the setting sun in the evening.
   我喜歡在傍晚觀賞晚霞。

6) The short boy tried to peer over the desktop.
   矮個(gè)子的男孩掙扎著要看到桌子的上面（有什么）。
   *peer 是走近去要看個(gè)清楚，而 stare 只是凝視，所以二者略有不同。

7) She gaped in surprise when Robert arrived.
   當(dāng)羅伯特來的時(shí)候，她吃驚得長大嘴巴呆住了。
   *gape 是驚奇得目瞪口呆。

8) Their angry glare frightened the women.
   他們因憤怒而瞪大了眼睛，使那婦人嚇壞了。
   *glare 有眼睛昏眩得閃耀之意。在這里指因激怒而目光閃爍。

9) From across the room, David cast a glance at his brother.
   隔著房間，大衛(wèi)瞥了一下弟弟。
   *glance 是以一瞬之間看看，而 cast a glance 是匆匆投以那種眼光。
