1. splinter
如果你的手被扎了,可以說“I got/had a splinter”。
The danger is that the Conservative Party may splinter into several smaller political parties.
2. sensitive
Sex education is a sensitive issue.
In the movie, he plays a concerned and sensitive father trying to bring up two teenage children on his own.
Some people's teeth are highly sensitive to cold.
The patient's responses are recorded on a sensitive piece of equipment which gives extremely accurate readings.
3. punch out
Think before you punch in your credit card number.
