[00:09.31]Wrapped Up
[00:10.99]People, bridges, buildings, rivers,valleys,
[00:14.47]even entire coastlines and islands,
[00:16.94]have all been wrapped up
[00:18.29]by the Bulgarian artist,Christo,
[00:20.69]his French wife, Jeanne -Claude,
[00:22.86]and their team of helpers.
[00:24.80]Stephen Treasure reports.
[00:27.36]One of their most spectacular projects
[00:29.80]was called Surrounded Islands.
[00:32.18]Eleven islands on the coast
[00:33.87]near Miami were surrounded by over six thousand
[00:36.80]square metres of pink plastic!
[00:39.86]Another project was wrapping up the German
[00:42.24]Parliament building.
[00:43.96]Many people thought that permission wouldn't
[00:45.86]be given, and some thought the project
[00:48.10]should never have been allowed.
[00:50.25]However, when the wrapping of the Reichstag
[00:52.23]in golden fabric had finally been completed,
[00:56.22]the glowing building received international
[00:58.44]acclaim, and Christo loved being appreciated.
