[00:10.14]Hannah Jones looks into the future
[00:13.26]of futurology.I love talking about the future-
[00:17.11]and I am not the only one.Over the centuries,
[00:20.21]people have always wondered about the future.
[00:23.10]Some like to read fantasy stories
[00:24.93]and imagine what the world will be like
[00:27.10]in 10, 50 or even 1,000 years' time.
[00:30.62]Others foresee future opportunities
[00:33.26]and problems.
[00:34.46]They plan the future of the world for a living.
[00:37.11]These people are called futurologists.
[00:40.65]This weekend, hundreds of futurologists
[00:42.63]are meeting at Newcastle University.
[00:45.07]The seminar starts on Friday and the experts
[00:47.80]will be discussing the influence
[00:49.57]of technology on the future.
[00:51.63]The future is now big business.
[00:53.86]I clicked into the websites
[00:55.35]of some futurologists and here's
[00:57.02]what they're predicting.
[00:59.50]The technology already exists,
[01:01.50]so very soon all of us are going to use our
[01:04.05]voices to give instructions to computers.
