The high cost seems to be a fly in the ointment.
美中不足的是成本過高。
a fly in the ointment 字面意思是：“軟骨里的蒼蠅”，這個習(xí)語出自《圣經(jīng)·傳道書》，“死蒼蠅會讓香甜的軟骨變質(zhì)，同樣，一件小小的蠢事也會令智慧失色。”現(xiàn)在，人們用這個習(xí)語來表示：“美中不足之處，煞風(fēng)景的事情，令人掃興的小事”。因此，當(dāng)美國人說"The high cost seems to be a fly in the ointment."時，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"I'm only unsatisfied with the high cost."、"It's perfect except the cost."。
