我還不能馬上說(shuō)定。

off-hand直譯過(guò)來(lái)就是：“不在手掌控制范圍之內(nèi)”，這個(gè)短語(yǔ)的正確意思是：“當(dāng)即，立即”。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說(shuō)"I can't say for certain off-hand."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"I can't decide now."、"I can't make sure of it right now." 。
