[00:33.66]in the various extreme sports
[00:35.55]that have become popular
[00:37.21]in the last ten years or so.
[00:39.47]Take bungee jumping.You jump off a bridge,
[00:42.82]like this one I'm standing on now,
[00:45.04]and you fall and fall,and then,
[00:47.58]just before you hit the ground or water,
[00:49.81]a rope pulls you back.
[00:52.09]Other extreme sports appear just as crazy.

[00:55.70]In sky surfing you jump out of an aeroplane
[00:58.86]and use a board to 'surf' the air,
[01:01.73]doing gymnastics in mid-air!
[01:04.03]Amazxing.And extreme sports on land
[01:06.60]can be just as dangerous.

[01:12.44]The new winter sports are even more dangerous.
[01:15.59]For example snowboarding,
[01:17.36]which has all the excitement of surfing
[01:19.45]but on snow,is more dangerous even than skiing
[01:23.47]Probably the most dangerous of all the new
[01:25.77]winter sports is snowrafting.
[01:28.59]You sit in a rubber boat and sail down
[01:30.77]a mountain at great speed
[01:33.31]and you can't control the boat!
