第33章 一項(xiàng)集體運(yùn)動(dòng)——排球
David：What is your favorite sport?
你最喜歡的運(yùn)動(dòng)是什么?
You：My favorite sport is playing volleyball.
我最喜歡打排球。
David：How long have you played volleyball?
你打多久了?
You：10 years on and off. Actually volleyball is a team sport and sometimes we can’t getenough people who also love to play volleyball, to make up a team and pay the fare. If you’reby yourself, then it’s not so much fun. It’s only practice … exercise.
斷斷續(xù)續(xù)有10年了。排球是一項(xiàng)集體運(yùn)動(dòng)，有時(shí)候都湊不夠人一起打球、分?jǐn)傎M(fèi)用;但一個(gè)人打又沒(méi)意思，就成了一種練習(xí)了。
David：Maybe too individual?
太孤單了吧?
You：Well, it’s different from playing with other people. Too boring. I like volleyball because itis a team sport. I can play and communicate with others and we can all enjoy playing the gametogether.
對(duì)啊，自己打不如找人一塊兒打，自己打太悶了。我愛(ài)打排球就是因?yàn)樗羌w運(yùn)動(dòng)，可以和別人交流，一起享受運(yùn)動(dòng)的樂(lè)趣。
David：By the way, I heard that the Chinese national volleyball team is one of the best in theworld. Is it true?
順便說(shuō)一下，我聽(tīng)說(shuō)中國(guó)國(guó)家排球隊(duì)是世界上最棒的，是嗎?
You：Yes. Women’s volleyball in particular. There was a time they played so well that they wonthe championship for five times in a row. Lang Ping was the most famous player back then.She was the team captain. She later coached the national team.
中國(guó)女排是這樣的。有一段時(shí)間女排表現(xiàn)極佳，獲得五連冠。郎平以前是女排中最出色的隊(duì)員，也是以前女排的隊(duì)長(zhǎng)。退役后執(zhí)教中國(guó)女排。
David：How about men’s volleyball?
男排怎樣呢?
You：Men's volleyball pales when compared with the achievements of the women's. But menare better known for their achievements in basketball, like Yao Ming.
沒(méi)有女排成績(jī)好。男籃很不錯(cuò)，姚明就是一名很出色的隊(duì)員。
