[07:15.12]as the composer of the popular waltz"The Blue Danube
[07:20.61]but this is just one of the many beautiful waltzes
[07:26.09]that he composed.Born in Vienna,Austria on 25th October 1825,
[07:37.30]Johann loved musiceven when he was very young.
[07:44.48]He wrote his first waltz at the age of six.
[07:49.68].His father,a conductor and also a famous waltz composer,
[07:56.26]did not want Johann to follow a music career.
[08:01.18]After graduation.Johann became a bank clerk,but his ambition
[08:09.77]to be a musician was still with him.Meanwhile,
[08:15.57]encouraged by his mother,Johann secretly studied the violin
[08:22.57]and musical composition.Then,at the age of nineteen,
[08:29.68]he decided to leave his job and to devote himself to music.
[08:35.97]Thus,Johann formed his own orchestra
[08:41.17]and played in a fashionable restaurant his orchestra andmusic
[08:47.99]were very popular with the public.
[08:52.38]But,Johann's father was angry with him for disobeying his wish.
[08:58.38]When his father died,Johann combined his own orchestra
[09:04.97]with that of his father's and made a successful tour of Austria,
[09:11.05]Poland Germany and Russia.Wherever he played,
[09:17.17]his beautiful waltzes won the hearts of his audience
[09:22.55]and soon he became known throughout Europe as "The Waltz King"
[09:28.95]although he also wrote many other dance tunes.
[09:34.56]The Emperor of Austria was so pleased with Johann's music
[09:41.15]that he appointed Johann the conductor at the imperial court balls of Vienna
[09:49.04]Later on,Johann found that he had no time to compose while working as a conductor
[09:58.02]so he resigned and handed his orchestra over to his brothers.

[10:10.12]where he began composing operettasor light musical comedies.
[10:17.01]Altogether he wrote 16 operettas and all of them became very successful.
