There once was a wolf walking in the forest.
從前，有一只狼在森林里走。
He was very hungry.
他非常餓。
He was looking for something to eat.
他在找東西吃。
Suddenly, the wolf fell inside a big, big hole.
突然，狼跌進(jìn)了一個(gè)大大的洞里。
He tried to jump out of the hole.
他使勁往洞外跳。
He tried, and tried.
他跳啊跳，可是跳不出去。
But the wolf was stuck.
他被困在洞里了。
The wolf yelled, "Help!Help!"
狼喊道，“救命啊!救命啊!”
Along came a sheep, he stopped,
一只羊走了過(guò)來(lái)，他停下來(lái)往下看，
he looked down and he saw the wolf.
他看到了狼。
The wolf said, "Please save me, Mr. sheep!
狼說(shuō)，“請(qǐng)救救我，羊先生!
Pull me out of the hole!
"把我拉出洞去!”
The sheep said, "No way!
羊說(shuō)，“沒(méi)門!
If I save you, you will kill me and eat me."
如果我救了你，你會(huì)殺了我，吃掉我。”
The wolf said, "No!
狼說(shuō)，“不會(huì)的!
I promise, I will not kill you and eat you.
我發(fā)誓，我不會(huì)殺你吃。
Please save me, Mr. sheep."
請(qǐng)救救我吧，羊先生。”
So the sheep took a rope.
于是，羊拿來(lái)一根繩子。
He put the rope in the hole.
他把繩子放進(jìn)洞里。
Then the sheep pulled and pulled.
然后，羊就拉呀拉。
The sheep pulled wolf up, up, up
羊把狼一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)向上拉，
until the wolf was out of the deep hole.
直到把狼從深洞里拉出來(lái)。
Suddenly, the wolf jumped up.
突然，那狼跳起來(lái)。
He said, "Now I will kill you and eat you."
他說(shuō)，“現(xiàn)在我要咬死你，吃了你。”
The sheep said, "Please!
羊說(shuō)，“求求你!
Don't kill me and eat me, Mr. wolf,
不要吃掉我，狼先生，
I helped you!"
我救了你!”
The wolf said, "Too bad!
狼說(shuō)，“沒(méi)用了!
You were stupid. You are a stupid, stupid sheep.
你這羊太傻，太傻了。
A wolf always kills and eats stupid sheep."
狼總是殺傻羊吃。”
The sheep cried, the sheep said,
羊大哭起來(lái)，說(shuō)，
"You tricked me! Mr. wolf!"
“你騙了我!狼先生!”
Then the sheep yelled, "Help!Help!"
然后羊就大喊道，"救命啊!救命啊!"
Along came a monkey, he stopped.
這時(shí)，一只猴子走了過(guò)來(lái)，他停了下來(lái)。
He looked at the sheep and the wolf.
他看著羊和狼。
The sheep said, "Please! Save me, Mr. monkey!"
羊說(shuō)，“請(qǐng)你救救我，猴先生!”
The sheep told the monkey that
羊告訴猴子說(shuō)，
he had pulled the wolf out of the deep hole.
他把狼從那深洞里拉了出來(lái)。
The wolf told the monkey what he did.
狼把他的所做所為也告訴了猴子。
The wolf said, "A wolf should eat a stupid sheep."
狼說(shuō)，"狼應(yīng)該吃傻羊。"
The sheep said, "Please! Mr. monkey!
羊說(shuō)，“求求你，猴先生!
Can you be the judge?
你能當(dāng)法官嗎?
Tell us, who is right?"
告訴我們，誰(shuí)是對(duì)的?”
The monkey said, "OK! I can be the judge.
猴子說(shuō)，“好吧!我可以當(dāng)你們的法官。
But I'm not sure what really happened.
可我不明白事情的真正過(guò)程。
Let's do it again.
所以，你們?cè)僮鲆槐椤?br /> So I can see what you did and what the wolf did.
好讓我清楚你和狼到底都做了什么。
Then I can choose who is right."
然后，我才能確定誰(shuí)對(duì)誰(shuí)錯(cuò)。”
So the wolf jumped back in the hole.
于是，狼跳回洞里。
The sheep took a rope.
羊拿起一根繩子。
He put the rope in the hole.
他把繩子放到洞里。
The sheep started to pull the wolf out of the hole.
羊開始把狼往洞外拉。
The monkey yelled,
猴子喊道，
"Stop! Stop! Don't save the wolf!
“停下!停下!不要救狼!
The wolf is ungrateful.
狼是忘恩負(fù)義的東西。
You did what he asked, and he tricked you.
你做了他求你的事，可是他欺騙了你。
Leave him inside the hole.
讓他呆在洞里好了。
The hunter will come and kill him."
獵人會(huì)來(lái)殺死他的。”
So once again the wolf was stuck inside the big, big hole.
于是，狼又一次被困在了那個(gè)大大的洞里。
The sheep went home.
羊回家了。
The monkey went home.
猴子回家了。
They lived happily ever after.
他們從此幸福地生活著。
